Adding the Microsoft Authenticator Application for MFA

  1. Open a browser and navigate to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/
  2. Click on the Security info option on the left-side pane
  3. Click the + Add Sign-in method

  1. In the dropdrown, select Authenticator app
  2. Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device
    1. Click Accept within the app on the privacy screen that appears after downloading
    2. Click Continue on the next screen for improving the app
    3. Click Scan a QR code
    4. Click OK to allow the app to access your camera
  3. Back in your browser window, click Next -- on the Start by getting the app screen
  4. Click Next again – on the Set up your account screen
  5. Scan the QR code from within your Microsoft authenticator app on your phone
  6. Click Allow on the notifications pop-up within your
  7. Click Next in your browser window
  8. Enter the number displayed in your browser into your authenticator app
  9. The Microsoft Authenticator app should now be registered for your account
  10. When accessing an SCC application utilizing MFA, open your Windows authenticator app to view the one-time passcode (OTP) for entering into the authentication prompt

Note: If you have multiple authentication methods setup, you can change the default sign-in method to your preferred option. Click the Change link at the top and select the appropriate method from the dropdown. Click Confirm.
