FERPA

FERPA, or the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, protects student education records and personal information obtained by the school. Under FERPA, we are not allowed to disclose school records, ID numbers, names, and addresses to anyone other than the student. Because we cannot verify that a student is who they say they are on the phone, we require them to come on campus with a photo ID before releasing any of their private information.

Under this act, students over the age of 18 are the only ones able to access their records unless they have signed a consent to disclosure for a parent. This is done through Registration, and any parent that wants student information for their child should contact Registration and have their child sign the disclosure form.
