Adding a Third-Party Authenticator Application for MFA

  1. Open a browser and navigate to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/
  2. Click on the Security info option on the left-side pane
  3. Click the + Add Sign-in method

  1. In the dropdrown, select Authenticator app
  2. Click the I want to use a different authenticator app link at the bottom of the pop-up
  3. If not done already, download the preferred authenticator app on your mobile device (e.g., Duo Mobile, Google Authenticator, etc.)
    1. Within the authenticator app on your mobile device, click the + button
    2. Choose the QR code option
  4. Back in your browser window, click Next on the Authenticator app pop-up
  5. Scan the QR code from within your authenticator app on your phone
  6. Click Next on the QR code pop-up in your browser window
  7. Enter the code displayed in your authenticator app in the browser pop-up, and click Next
  8. The authenticator app should now be registered for your account
  9. When accessing an SCC application utilizing MFA, open your authenticator app to view the one-time passcode (OTP) for entering into the authentication prompt

Note: If you have multiple authentication methods setup, you can change the default sign-in method to your preferred option. Click the Change link at the top and select the appropriate method from the dropdown. Click Confirm.
