- Open a browser and navigate to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/
- Click on the Security info option on the left-side pane
- Click the + Add Sign-in method
- In the dropdrown, select Authenticator app
- Click the I want to use a different authenticator app link at the bottom of the pop-up
- If not done already, download the preferred authenticator app on your mobile device (e.g., Duo Mobile, Google Authenticator, etc.)
- Within the authenticator app on your mobile device, click the + button
- Choose the QR code option
- Back in your browser window, click Next on the Authenticator app pop-up
- Scan the QR code from within your authenticator app on your phone
- Click Next on the QR code pop-up in your browser window
- Enter the code displayed in your authenticator app in the browser pop-up, and click Next
- The authenticator app should now be registered for your account
- When accessing an SCC application utilizing MFA, open your authenticator app to view the one-time passcode (OTP) for entering into the authentication prompt
Note: If you have multiple authentication methods setup, you can change the default sign-in method to your preferred option. Click the Change link at the top and select the appropriate method from the dropdown. Click Confirm.
